Course Overview
This is a video course which teaches Health and Safety for Cleaners. Although compared to other occupations, cleaning does not seem like a dangerous job, there is actually a very high rate of injury and ill health due to the work carried out.
At the end of the video, trainees will be able to:
» Appreciate the importance of appropriate clothing.
» Understand how to carry out risk assessments and make people aware of the work that’s going.
» Recognise the importance of PPE and Upper Limb Disorder whilst scrubbing, polishing and wiping.
» Understand the importance of correct positioning, straining & twisting.
» Develop an insight into chemical safety including symbols and instruction.
» Recognise the importance of making others aware when vacuuming.
Our view… This is an entertaining and professional 22 minute video. It teaches you about the dangers involved in cleaning which – although it may not seem like it – is a job in which many people become injured!
This training course is approved by ROSPA – The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.
