10 Steps to Successful Social Networking for Business by Darin E. Hartley

Reviewed by David Patterson

This is a useful little book, clearly laid out in ten steps as the title suggests, looking at a wide range of social networking options. It focuses on business benefits, and on interaction with customers more than employees.
I had anticipated some input into learning cultures – this being ASTD, instead we see a section on sales training only. This is about business performance and getting your people up to speed with it in a client-focused context and cost-reduction framework, not about organisational learning. A good book, but one with a clear outward-looking focus I would argue.
