The Association for Learning Technology is a professional and scholarly association which seeks to bring together all those with an interest in the use of learning technology. With over 200 organisations and over 700 individuals in membership, their aim is to support and provide a service for their members; facilitate collaboration between e-learning and learning technology practitioners, researchers and policy-makers; spread good practice; raise the profile of research and contribute to the development of policy.
They run and advertise a number of useful events, run CMALT, a portfolio-based professional accreditation scheme to enable people whose work involves learning technology to show their commitment to their professional development and a quarterly newsletter in which learning technologists’ jobs are often advertised.
